The spark: A return to roots
Simply Magick began in early 2020, born from a desire to create something purposeful and reconnect with my true path. After years in the influencer world, and settling into Canberra, I yearned to build a community and offer something meaningful. My journey with witchcraft began in the 90s in Melbourne, fostering connections through meet-ups like Aussie Pagans, attending events like Magick Happens, and exploring Spellbox and the Theosophical Bookshop together. This deep-rooted history laid the foundation for what was to come.
From craft to coven: Building a community
A brief foray into candle making provided a creative outlet, but it was the call of witchcraft and magick, the earth, and the homemade, that truly resonated. Simply Magick emerged, initially offering affordable items to local Canberran witches. Since 2020, we've blossomed, hosting gatherings, picnics, and coven activities. Simply Magick is now a cherished space to find tools, books, tarot, candles, and other magickal items, fostering learning, connection, and new friendships. You can find our magickal offerings at markets around Canberra and in stores like Uniquified Gifts and Little Tarde Co in Gungahlin, and The Canberra Antique Centre within The Auction Barn in Fyshwick.
